Kindergarten Round Up
Tuesday, May 17, will be our Kindergarten Round Up. It will be from 8am-11am. Please let me know if you have a child who will be attending.

Cystic Fibrosis Walk
Wednesday, May 18 will be our Cystic Fibrosis Walk. Please have your forms with your donations here on that day!

 

End of the Year Program

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25 at 6:oopm (Note Time and Date Change) The evening will consist of a Spaghetti Dinner, Entertainment, Slide Shows, Science Fair Projects, 8th Grade Graduation, and End of the Year Awards!

Please plan to be here that night!

Science Fair Project
Following the schedule handed out earlier, you should be finishing up your experiments this week. Please keep working hard!

Field Day
On Friday, May 13, we will be leaving after devotion for Markesan for our annual field day. Please remember to have your $1.50 for lunch here by Monday, May 9.

Kindergarten Round Up
Tuesday, May 17, will be our Kindergarten Round Up. It will be from 8am-11am. Please let me know if you have a child who will be attending.

Wednesday, May 18 will be our Cystic Fibrosis Walk. Please have your forms with your donations here on that day!

HOT LUNCH:
Thank You to everyone for your help with Hot Lunch this year. With 3rd Quarter coming to a close, so will our Hot Lunch program for this year. If you have a time when you would like to bring in a meal for the students, please just let me know. Otherwise, see you in 2011-2012.

Kleenex
We are running low on kleenex due to the increased runny noses. Please help us out by having each student bring in a box to replenish our supply. Thanks!

3rd Quarter Project:
The Final project will be due on Wed., March 24. Please send a great deal of time over spring break working on your Final Project and Visual Aid for your Oral Presentations which will be on Thurs., March 24 beginning at 2pm.

Field Trip Reschedule:
Looks like we will continue to watch the happenings down at the Capitol and will hope to plan a trip down there soon.

3rd Quarter Project:
This week the students should be in deep writing mode. By Wednesday, they must have at least 1 edited drafted. They will receive bonus points for extra edited drafts. Please help your student with this new and daunting task.

Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
Wednesday, March 2, we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s Birthday with some fun crafts and a green hot lunch! We are in need of some old light bulbs for one of the projects. Please try to send a light bulb with each student.

Field Trip Reschedule:
We plan to reschedule the field trip to the Capitol and the Children Museum within the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

rd Quarter Project: We have started our 3rd Quarter Project which is the Research Paper. The majority of this project is to be completed outside of the classroom. This week they need to continue to research and begin formulating a rough draft.

Field Trip Reschedule: We plan to reschedule the field trip to the Capitol and Children’s Museum within the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

6-8th 3rd Quarter Project: We have started our 3rd Quarter Project which is the Research Paper. The majority of this project is to be completed outside of the classroom. Each week we will spend time working through the process of researching and writing the paper. Please let me know if you have any questions.

FIELD TRIP: On Wednesday, Feb. 16, we will be going on a Field Trip to visit the State Capitol and the Children’s Museum. Our tour is currently scheduled to start @ 11 a.m. We plan to leave school around 10:15. After the tour we will head to the Children’s Museum where we will have lunch and then spend the rest of our afternoon exploring. The cost will be $ 1 per person, please have it to school prior to Wednesday. Also, please bring a sack lunch and don’t forget a drink!

VALETINE’S DAY PARTY: On Monday, Feb 14th we will be having our Valentine’s Day Party. We will be exchanging Valentines, eating hot lunch and playing a lot of fun games.

OAK PARK PLACE: Due to the snow day last week, we were not able to make it to Oak Park Place. We are hoping to reschedule for this month. But we are waiting to hear back from Terry at Oak Park Place.

100th DAY OF SCHOOL: On Monday, Feb. 7th we will be celebrating our 100th day of school. We will be completing many activities centered around the number 100. The K-1 will be bringing home a bag today that they should bring back on Monday filled with 100 items!

CHRISTMAS PARTY: We will have our school Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 22. If anyone would like to help, please let me know!

WINTER WEATHER WEAR: With the snow coming, please be sure that your children have snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, and coats each day!

HOT LUNCH: Thank you Ardnt’s for the wonderful hot lunch. Dec. 8th will be Schaser’s and Dec. 15th will be Bertrang’s.

CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANE: The students have exchanged names for the $ 5 gift exchange. These can come (wrapped) to school at any time as our tree is set up already!

CHRISTMAS PARTY: If anyone is interested in helping with a Christmas Party, please let me know. I am tentatively planning it for Wednesday, Dec. 22nd.
