A BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL:
May the Lord Jesus rule in our hearts with His forgiving love and powerful Word so that our hearts are moved to make 2010 a year of dedicated commitment to the WORD and the WORK of His Kingdom. May we be busy “working while it is day, before the night (of eternity) comes” in spreading the Good News of a Savior for sinful mankind.

CHURCH COUNCIL
meets on Sunday, January 10th
at 11:15 a.m.

B.O.C.E. meets Monday, January 11th at 7:00 p.m.

VOTERS:
Don’t forget our Annual Voters’ Meeting to be held on Sunday, January 17th after church. We will be accepting the 2010 budget and holding our elections for the New Year.

HANNAH’S HELPING HANDS: The Ladies will be meeting on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00 p.m.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT:
Will be held on Friday, January 22nd at 7:00 p.m.

HERITAGE FESTIVAL:
Over the last Quarter of the school year, the students of Peace Thru Christ have been working on writing their own autobiographies. On January 24th, after church we would like to invite the congregation to a Heritage Festival Potluck. Please bring a dish or two to pass that is either a family favorite or is from your heritage. The students will have their autobiographies on display for all to view. A sign up sheet will be on the bulletin board soon.

EVANGELISM COMMITTEE:
Will meet on Sunday, Jan. 31st at 11:15 a.m.

WANTED:
Any new phone numbers, new e-mail addresses. If any members have gotten a new phone number, new e-mail number or moved to a new address during the past year, please contact Pastor so he can add it to or change it for the 2010 directory. Thanks!

USHERS:
Any male communicant member who is presently not serving as an usher, but who would like to help serve in 2010, please see Pastor Bernthal before the New Year’s list is typed out. Please do so by New Year’s Eve.

NEW ENVELOPES:
Everyone should a new box of envelopes for the year. These again have one line for your offering to our Unified Budget.

WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE CLASS:
will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 6th at 7:00 p.m.

CAMPBELLS LABELS:
Don’t forget to keep those Campbell labels for school supplies.

DEVOTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR:
In your December Lutheran Spokesman is the 2010 devotion schedule. We would encourage you to use it as you read the Word in 2010.
