NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD (1 Chronicles 29:10-13)Mark Bernthal, November 5, 2017
Part of the Post-Pentecost series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Sermon Text: I Chronicles 29:10-13
NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD
I: In love, He made us.
II: In love, He saved us.
III: In love, He rules us.
The Psalmist David reminds us in Psalm 27 that our desire as Christians is to DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES; TO BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD; TO INQUIRE IN HIS TEMPLE AND TO OFFER UP SACRIFICES OF JOY AND PRAISE TO OUR LORD.
This thought of thanksgiving and praise is found also in our text this morning as we hear King David praise the Lord God for all of the blessings He has showered upon His people. Our sermon text this morning is therefore very fitting as we begin the month of November and look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday in a few weeks...

1 Chronicles 29:10-13
10Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. 11Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
